What is Midwest Craft Fair?Midwest Craft Fair is an internet website that is dedicated to promoting the small artist or craft business. The website was created by 3 women from Minnesota who enjoy not only buying high quality art and craft items, but also creating them. We are intrigued by the opportunity Internet provides to market such items. Our goal is to form a community of artisans/crafters from the Midwest and market their creations using the Internet. Having backgrounds in information technology and our love of arts and crafts allows us to realize this dream and work to build this community. (back to top) What type of items do you feature?We feature quality arts and crafts items from artisans/crafters in continental United States. These items can be of various medium and style. All items are handmade by the artisan who has listed them. Our goal is to offer our customers a wide variety of unique items. (back to top) I’m looking for something specific, how can I find it?There are several ways to look at items in our catalog. If you wish to look for something specific, click on By Category and select the one that best describes what you may be looking for. If you wish to view all items in no specific order, click on Browse the Catalog to page through our entire item listing. If you know the name of your artisan, you can enter in any part of the Artisans name in the By Artisan search. The By Item search will bring up all items that have the search text in the name of the item. In the future, we hope to add additional searches to help our customers find the items they like quickly. If you have a suggestion for how you would like to search the catalog, please let us know. Comments/suggestions can be sent to customer_support@midwestcraftfair.com. (back to top) How do I shop?Just click on one of the ‘Shop at the Fair’ selections and begin! Items will be displayed for you that fall within the search selected. If you want further details or wish to purchase any of the items presented, just click on the item name to get more information or to put an item in your shopping cart. (back to top) How does the shopping cart work?
The shopping cart is used to keep track of items you would like to
purchase. You may put an item(s)in your shopping cart at any
time and when you are done shopping, just click on ‘Shopping
Cart’ to review what you have selected. What if my items don't show up in my shopping cart?You must have your brower setup to allow cookies. We do not use cookies for anything except track your shopping cart number. If you need to change this setting in Internet Exporer, click on the Tools, then Internet Options, then click on the Privacy tab and click on the Edit button on the bottom of the window. Make sure www.MidwestCraftFair.com is set to an 'always allow' setting. (back to top) How does ordering from Midwest Craft Fair work?Your order is placed directly with Midwest Craft Fair. We then contact the artisan to ship your purchases to you. As you may order items from different artisans, please be aware that shipping and handling charges are added for each artisan. Discounts may be offered by an artisan if items are able to be shipped together. If a discount applies, you will see it when viewing the shopping cart. If you have ordered several items, all from different artisans, expect a shipment for each item. (back to top) Are my orders with Midwest Craft Fair secure?Yes – at Midwest Craft Fair we partner with Authorize.net and Wells Fargo to send all confidential information over a secure line. Although the lock may not appear, please note that is because not all information on our order form is considered confidential. Just look in your address bar at the top of your screen or in the lower left corner of your screen. When you see https, vs. the more often seen http, you know there is added security. (back to top) How is payment accepted?We accept Master Card, and Visa (credit or debit cards), checks (with a 10 day waiting period prior to shipping) and Money Orders. Sorry, no C.O.D. (back to top) Do you charge sales tax?We are a Minnesota company. If you live in Minnesota, sales tax of 6.5% will be added to the purchase price at the time you checkout and confirm your order. (back to top) Do you take international orders?At this time we do not take orders outside of the 48-state continental US. (back to top) How quickly must payment be received?Payment must be received within 14 days or your order will be cancelled. No exceptions. (back to top) How soon do you ship once an order is placed?
Most artisans will ship within a week of receiving confirmation
of your payment. Note that there will be a 10-day waiting
period for orders paid with a personal check. We do not offer
overnight delivery at this time. What does shipping discount may apply mean?This means that if you order two or more items from a specific artisan, you may get a discounted shipping charge if those items can be packaged together. This discount will shown in the shopping cart. (back to top) An item is showing as ‘temporarily unavailable’ – what does that mean?This means that item is out of stock at the moment, but should be available soon. Please check back if it is an item you are interested in. The artisan will post more of the item when available soon. Or, send us an email to let us know you’d like to be notified if one becomes available. We’ll keep you posted as to availability. Emails can be sent to customer_support@midwestcraftfair.com. (back to top) An item is showing as ‘no longer available' – what does that mean?This means that the item has sold out and that the artisan will not be making anymore like it – it may have even been a one-of-a-kind item. You may wish to look at other items that this artisan offers, as there may be something similar you are interested in. (back to top) What is your return policy?
Midwest Craft Fair wants customers to be completely satisfied
with their purchase. We will refund the purchase price of any
product (not including the cost of shipping) returned within 14
days of the original shipping date. How do I become a Midwest Craft Fair artisan?
Click on 'Become Part Of The Fair!' from the
Midwest Craft Fair home page and fill in the signup form.
You can either sign up immediatly with a credit card or we will send you an artisan agreement to review, sign and send
back with payment. Following receipt of this information, we will
send you an artisan packet with all information needed to get started!
